Equal Housing

Anti-Discrimination Policy

(1) Discrimination Is Strictly Prohibited

Pacific Coast Real Estate, its agents and employees are committed to equal opportunity and non-discrimination in all aspects of the housing related services they provide.  Pacific Coast Real Estate expressly prohibits any form of discrimination based on a person’s race, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, ancestry, familial status, source of income, disability, genetic information, age or any other factor illegal under federal, state or city law (any of which is an “Unlawful Category”).  Any discrimination based on an Unlawful Category by agents or employees in the performance of their expected job duties will not be tolerated and will subject the agent or employee to appropriate disciplinary or other measures.

(2) Reasonable Accommodations

Pacific Coast Real Estate promotes and encourages the participation of persons with disabilities to the fullest extent possible in all of its programs, services and activities.  It is Pacific Coast Real Estate’s policy to provide “reasonable accommodations” to all prospective and current tenants with disabilities who request them unless such accommodation would present an undue financial or administrative burden or make a fundamental alteration in the nature of its programs.  In such cases where a request for accommodation creates an undue burden or fundamental alteration, Pacific Coast Real Estate will attempt to propose alternative solutions and/or accommodations which do not create such a hardship or make such an alteration.

(3) Procedures

  • All current and new tenants shall be provided a written and/or electronic copy of this Policy.

  • This Policy is posted on the Pacific Coast Real Estate website: www.pacificcoastre.net.

  • A Reasonable Accommodation Request Form is available on request. Pacific Coast Real Estate will respond within 14 days of receipt of any reasonable accommodation request. All requests will be kept confidential.
